Passing through Central Lombok we could not but notice that everey hamlet has its own mosque. But beside that really many new ones were being built. Real huge ones too. In some places people were collecting money for the construction in the middle of the street. On top of that we noticed 2 times texts written on walls in which the word " hizbollah"  appeared. Our conclusion is that there is a noticable growing awareness of their muslim identity among the people in Central Lombok. Our analysis: there is no real perspective for a better future for the masses here, via the media they receive information from all over the world and see the huge differences between them and " us" and the interpretations by these media of the politics of the west, especially America. So they gather around what is a symbol of their identity: islam. A ticking time bomb, I would say.
