Back on Bali

Leaving from the mountain village of Tetebatu we intended to ride downhill app 65 koms to the ferry port and stay the night over there. But the ride was so quick, that we decided to take the ferry the same day, we embarked at 12.30. In the mean time we had visited a weaving community, where they dressed us up in sarongs as if we were going to be married again. Very nice, but we didn’t buy anything, to their disappointment. The material they used in their weaving was cotton, and my dear wife is only interested in silk 🙂 They spoke Dutch over there, only because so often Dutch groups pass by. Again it appears that the people are very eager to learn.

At 17.30 we landed on Bali and half an hour later we had a shower in a comfortable little bungalow (cost 50,000 RP= 4 Euro) with the boats on the beach at 20 meters. Today we’ll continue for a very short stage to Candi Dasa, where we intend to stay for 2 days in a bungalow in a lotus flower garden and a view on the sea.
