We biked from Kuta to Tanah-lot. Easy to find, thanks to our detailed description of the route. Tanah-lot is a complex containing various temples, one of which sits on a rock in the sea, only to be reached by low tides. We had a very beautiful view from our cliff, especially when the waves broke in hugh splashes of foam and water against the rock holding the temple. Later we continued towards Ubud, north of Denpasar. It’s a village with 2 attractions: the monkey-forest, with many inhabitants of that species, and art. It’s a place where artists tend to gather. There are many galleries, arts- and handicraft shops. Very touristic place alltogether. Again we got lost at the end of the day, but found our destination with only a few kilometers extra. Covered app. 60 kms today. The heat is bearable as long as we ride, then there’s always the breeze of riding cooling you down a bit. Most of the time we are still travelling through very heavy traffic. We hope that this will change during the next few days.
