Sunaru is a place higher up on the mountain. We took a bemo (small bus) to take us and our bikes up the last few very steep kms. We stayed in a very comfortable bungalow in a beatiful garden (a monkey now and then), with a view into the vally with rice fields on one side and on the other side a high waterfall. The place was cooler and thus more comfortable than along thr coast. The next day we made a panorama walk.With our guide Mahid we made a tour through 2 traditional Sasak villages (the original Lombok people), through their rice fields and other plantations, met up with Mahid’s wife and little daughter and visited the 2 waterfalls. A very relaxing and interesting day altogether.
